Welcome to: STEWARDS FOR CHRIST. My goal here is to share my walk of faith with you and others. A journey to know Christ; weave daily prayer into our lives and get closer to God. Yes, it is a personal journey. A path at times we travel alone yet yearn for accompaniment with others. This is when the action of the term Synod comes in…journeying together.

As His child and a Prayer Warrior, we must pray for one another, for the world and our needs. Times are troubling, and those weak in faith, unsure, those forgotten need our prayers. Let us share our walk of Faith with them.

 Prayers of Protection to St. Joseph

An Ancient Prayer to St. Joseph

Oh, St. Joseph, whose protection is so great, so strong, so prompt before the throne of God. I place in you all my interests and desires. Oh, St. Joseph, do assist me by your powerful intercession, and obtain for me from your divine Son all spiritual blessings, through Jesus Christ, our Lord. So that, having engaged here below your heavenly power, I may offer my thanksgiving and homage to the most loving of Fathers.

Oh, St. Joseph, I never weary of contemplating you, and Jesus asleep in your arms; I dare not approach while He reposes near your heart. Press Him in my name and kiss His fine head for me and ask him to return the Kiss when I draw my dying breath. St. Joseph, Patron of departing souls - Pray for me.

This prayer was found in the fifteenth year of Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. In 1505 it was sent from the Pope to Emperor Charles when he was going into battle. Whoever shall read this prayer or hear it or keep it about themselves, shall never die a sudden death, or be drowned, not shall poison take effect of them; neither shall they fall into the hands of the enemy; or shall be burned in any fire, or shall be overpowered in battle. *** Say for nine mornings for anything you may desire. It has never been known to fail.

Saint Joseph, Terror of Demons Prayer

Saint Joseph, Terror of Demons, cast thy solemn gaze upon the devil and all his minions and protect us with thy mighty staff.

Thou fled through the night to avoid the devil’s wicked designs; now with the power of God, smite the demons as they flee from thee!

Grant special protection, we pray, for children, fathers, mothers, families, and the dying.

By God’s grace, no demon dares approach while thou art near, so we beg of thee, Saint Joseph, always be near to us!

Amen.

Saint Joseph, the terror of demons, pray for us.

Hear me St. Joseph Prayer

O St. Joseph, I (we are) am surrounded by the evil enemy, I call on you, my Spiritual Father, you the Foster Father to our Lord Jesus Christ when a He was a child and into manhood. I meditate on your presence near me (us) St. Joseph, for I know you will fight for me (us) and protect me (us).

Cast them out, send them back to where they came from, for your very name St. Joseph and presence terrifies them. Keep me (us) within your Holy Cloak.

St. Joseph, terror of demons, pray for us.

St. Joseph, defender of the Holy Church, pray for us.

St. Joseph, patron of the dying, pray for us.

St. Joseph, watchful and guardian of Virgins, pray for us.

O St. Joseph, our intercessor from heaven, our spiritual warrior, rescue us from the darkness that lurks during day and night. The evil one’s adversaries lurk to control those destined for Christ, raise your mighty staff and defend the many souls for Jesus Christ. Help us to keep a strong faith in you, our protector, our Spiritual Father.
