Stewards for Christ

A Prayer Ministry of Faith and Hope

Welcome!

Welcome to: STEWARDS FOR CHRIST. My goal here is to share my walk of faith with you and others. A journey to know Christ; weave daily prayer into our lives and get closer to God. Yes, it is a personal journey. A path at times we travel alone yet yearn for accompaniment with others. This is when the action of the term Synod comes in…journeying together.

As His child and a Prayer Warrior, we must pray for one another, for the world and our needs. Times are troubling, and those weak in faith, unsure, those forgotten need our prayers. Let us share our walk of Faith with them.

Many of you look to this page for the Devotional to the Prescious Blood of Jesus Christ. It will remain. Please continue to pray it throughout the year. Many souls will benefit from all your prayerful efforts.

Our mission…to save souls for Jesus Christ. He wants us to seek him. We need to seek him.

May God’s peace and blessings be with you always. Guadalupe Irma

Seventh Sunday of Easter: The Ascension of The Lord

Jesus’ appearance to his apostles, his outward signs of the crucifixion, impressed upon them he was the Risen Christ. Although Thomas doubted as he was not present at the time, he came to believe before the Lord.

Before Jesus ascended into heaven to be with his heavenly Father, he instructed and taught his apostles of all they would do. Informing them of the coming of the Holy Spirit, they would baptize many through his spirit unlike John the Baptist who baptized by water. This great Advocate would be with them and guide them on their journeys of evangelization; for they would be his fishers of men.

Jesus had prepared the Way with Truth for his apostles to take with them to preach to all his laws, to follow his teachings for eternal Life. Just as Jesus ascended into heaven on a cloud, he would return in the same manner.

Go and teach all nations, says the Lord; I am with you always, until the end of the world. Mt 28:19a-20b

Let us pray: Jesus, you foretold of your suffering, rising from the dead on the third day and to teach of repentance for the forgiveness of sins to all. You are the true witness Jesus.

Yet many refuse the Holy Spirit my Lord. Please send your continued promise of your great Advocate to enrich our lives. Pour the Spirit of wisdom and revelation so we may know you. Enlighten our hearts with hope. You sit at the right hand of our heavenly Father above all power, authority and dominion.

I praise you, my Lord. May we bring you reverence with our life in prayer and good works. Amen.

Second Sunday of Easter

Divine Mercy Sunday - A Plea for Divine Mercy

Hear the good news: He is Risen, let us Rejoice. Alleluia!

Brothers and sisters in Christ, He conquered death through his greatest suffering and horrific death. Blood and Water poured out for us as merciful love. He offered forgiveness, salvation and eternal life with Him and the Father. Why? Because he loved us first and we are precious to him. Now listen to my prayerful petition as I was inspired by the Spirit of the Lord to send out as this is Divine Mercy Sunday:

The waters of impurity rise with the multitude of souls dipped in sin as many refused to believe in The Passion of our Lord Jesus Christ and His Crucifixion. Many cried out no repentance and sinful burdens weighed many souls to their worldly desires. Why so many remain parched from their journey in the desert during Lent without the Risen Christ? Why did so many abandoned Him even after his Death and Resurrection? Why have many souls refused the light of the Spirit?

These are troubling times my brothers and sisters and Jesus’ agonizing heart bleeds from those separated from him. Humanity’s flaws, weaknesses, addictions, pride and more, nailed him to the cross he carried for us all. As Adam and Eve hid from God after they sinned, those unreconciled of their sins still hide from God. Even after the greatest victory over death, the Resurrection of Jesus Christ, many remain in darkness. Yes, we all bear shame, and Jesus knows our continued pain and sorrow. He knows many of us wade in the sins of obscurity of wickedness and immorality.

Despair not. Console Him my brothers and sisters through your repentance, for now is the time. Be not shameful for Jesus’ open arms still wait. Pray. Let us renounce our crippling, sinful burdens. Offer them up to his Cross and be not bound to them. Jesus is our Hope. He thirsts for our love. Trust in the fullness of his love, the abundance within the vastness of his ocean of mercy as it is available to all of us no matter what we’ve done. He wants to immerse us in his Divine Mercy through our atonement. Let us take the full refreshment of His Living Water. Convert, be cleansed and follow him. Let us reconcile with the Father through Jesus. Forgive our enemies so as to enter through the golden gate of heaven and be in the true Light of Eternity.

Brothers and sisters, I offer up this prayer for all souls to the mercy of Jesus Christ:

Merciful Jesus, I bring to you the many souls who wade in the dark waters of sin. Lead them to your merciful love. Forgive them and remove the veil of misery. Jesus, restore us by immersing us in your vast ocean of overabundant mercy. Help us to rely on you and not on ourselves. I pray for the many conversions to know the fullness of Divine Mercy Sunday and flourish in your love. I know many will miss this rewarding feast day. O merciful Jesus, you continue to be that beacon for those lost souls. I trust in you they will return. My appeal leaves no one behind. Through you Jesus, you are the open gate to our Father in your heavenly kingdom and eternal peace. Praise and glory to you Jesus Christ. Amen.

A clean heart create for me, God; renew within me a steadfast spirit. Ps. 51:12

Scripture tells us the apostles had remained locked in the upper room for fear of the Jews. Jesus then appeared to them again and extended his peace to his disciples. You can imagine how excited they were to see Jesus, for the tasks ahead of them was daunting. Jesus had reminded them as the Father had sent him, He would now send them. He breathed on them and they received the Holy Spirit upon his command.

This was the great Advocate whom the Father had sent in Jesus’ name. This counselor would teach them all they needed to know and they would remember all Jesus had taught them. He would be with them always.

The Holy Spirit comes to us in our inner room, our souls, to aid us from our weaknesses. As we pray, we may not know how the Holy Spirit may intercede for us, but we will know his voice and his intentions.

Brothers and sisters, if you should thirst for Jesus, go to him and drink of his Living Water. He will revive and quench your thirst in your longing for Him. Ask the Holy Spirit to refresh you, to lead you to the Living Water; receive Jesus Christ, glorify him with your life.

Whoever believes in me, as scripture says: ‘Rivers of living water will flow from within him. Jn 7:38

Prayer to the Holy Spirit

O Jesus, you are all good. You are my rock and savior. Fill the body of your Church with your Holy Spirit so our lives may be full of zeal as we share the gift of faith with those who look for you. Through you Jesus Christ, our Lord I pray. Amen.                          Guadalupe I Frakes © 2022

Spirit of the Living God Prayer

Spirit of the Living God fall anew on me and on my family,

Spirit of the Living God fall fresh on us.

Break us Spirit of the Living God, to shed our crusted sinful ways; to refuse the easy, wide path;

Melt us Spirit of the Living God, melt our spirit into your loving and consoling embrace for rebuilding, for renewal;

Mold us Spirit of the Living God, into your faithful servants;

Fill us beyond the brim of our souls with your Gifts and Fruits to aglow from your burning love to do your Will.

Strengthen our faith o Spirit of the Living God and fall fresh upon us.   Guadalupe Irma Frakes © 2021
